Hello, I’m Beatrix

A woman with black hair in a white shirt and brown pants sitting at a desk in a bright room, smiling at the camera.

Many of the people I work with are talented, hardworking, and deeply committed to what they do. Yet stepping in front of the camera doesn’t always come naturally. Not because they lack a story worth sharing, but because they’re humble. For some, being visible can feel uncomfortable.

I understand that. I’ve felt it too. That shared experience is what led me into this work. Supporting people to show up in a way that feels honest, grounded, and aligned with who they already are.

Based in Uppsala and working regularly with founders in Stockholm and across Sweden, I photograph people in the environments where their work actually happens — not in a fixed studio, but in spaces that reflect their rhythm and personality.

Through personal brand photography, I create space for that presence to come through naturally, without overthinking or over-styling.

That’s also why I created The Presence Series and The Intro; two ways of telling your story visually, depending how deep you’d like to go.

A little more about me

I live in Uppsala, Sweden with my husband (and one day, hopefully, a dog).

I’m originally from Indonesia. But after years of living and working across different parts of the world, I often feel more like a global citizen at heart.

Big cities used to shape my everyday life — Asia, Australia, fast pace, constant movement. I learned to navigate complex environments, different cultures, and strong personalities. It made me focused. Independent. Observant.

Then Sweden slowed everything down…

Over the past five years, I’ve grown into a different rhythm here. Less people. Distance. A deeper appreciation for space — both in life and in work.

I love starting the day with coffee and music. Getting lost in interior magazines and books. Calling my family abroad. I’m an ambivert — I enjoy my own space, but I also like working from a cosy café now and then, simply being around everyday life.

Lately, a lot of my creative energy (outside photography) has gone into shaping our home — watching far too many interior YouTube videos, collecting ideas on Pinterest, and slowly making the space feel more like us.

Maybe that’s why environment matters so much to me.
The space you’re in changes how you show up.

And that’s something I bring into every shoot.
